Working in Tech

Working in Tech

If you’re reading this, you might be one of the 835,600 people in the Bay Area who works in tech. From the smallest startup to one of the giants, tech isn’t just an industry — it’s a culture. Alongside its thrilling potential and rewarding work, tech brings its own set of unique challenges in and out of the office. Long hours, high pressure and stakes, and ongoing projects with intense deadlines can set the stage for burnout. Add in some anxiety, imposter syndrome, and a well-practiced inner critic, and you might be questioning your abilities or place in the field. I started my career in corporate public relations, so I know firsthand how hard it can be to face these issues and have confidence when the stakes feel so high.

It’s okay to feel worn out or have doubts, and you deserve to have support while you make your way in this exciting field. Taking steps to set boundaries at work, foster a good work-life balance, and maintain a healthy relationship with tech outside of work, can make a big difference. These are all things that I emphasize in therapy, while offering practical skills to find the balance that works for you.

Let’s set up a time to talk; I’d love to hear more about what’s happening for you.
